Nature and life

Life without nature is death. Here in the summer, nature shows its vibrancy most clearly, in waving leaves, abundant flowers and flowing water everywhere.

But even in winter, nature is not dead, only silent.

Death can be found in industrial areas anywhere in the world, in the rat race, the stress, the must. Natural movement has been replaced by mechanical gestures and forced thought processes. It feels like life is gone. And it is.

But we live and we want to live. Without being chased by ideas that are not even ours, but a habit.

It is nice to take some distance for a while, to experience what life can feel like in peace, space and nature.

Then people want to go on holiday, but what does holiday usually mean?

You “must” see this and you “must” have seen that, you “must” do this and you “must” have done that and everything “must” be photographed and put on videos and that “must” be sent and posted on social media.

How many times do you see the word “must” in this sentence?

What is it that you “must”? What do you really “have to” do? You don’t “have to” do anything.

“Sweden does something to you”

The first thing Sweden does to you is that this feeling of “must”, of “having to” is coming loose, it breaks free. It’s like a backpack that falls off.

A strange sensation at first, but it becomes a feeling you don’t want to lose anymore

Then there will be inner space.

This is the “wonder of Sweden” that we hope you too are going to experience here, in the peace, the quiet and with nature. That is why we do not recommend tourist activities on this website (well, in a little corner, for the addicts), although they certainly exist here, but they can be found anywhere.

Everything that lives has an intrinsic value.

Unfortunately, it’s not that nature here does not suffer from the anthropocentric view about nature that prevails almost everywhere in the world, namely that nature is there to be used by humans. Or that nature is only nature when it has been arranged by a nature conservation organization.

Here in Sweden too, man tries to be the boss and unfortunately larger and larger machines are being used to become the boss.

Luckily, nature here is still big, strong and resilient. And still more than willing to be in an equal and loving connection with living people.
