Blå Jungfrun
The Baltic Sea coast is about an hour and a half drive from here. Below we would like to give you a small impression of the special nature there, although the photos hardly do justice to the experience. Because here too there is peace, space and overwhelming nature.
The Emån River flows into the Baltic Sea just south of the village of Påskallavik. From the parking lot you can walk along this beautiful glittering river to the estuary in 45 minutes.
On the coast you look out over the sea with its islands.
You can see the most beautiful and special and legendary island here in the distance:
the Blå Jungfrun.
It is a magical sight, this blue, almost perfect shape that rises out of the water in the distance, a saucer that seems to float on the water, the image of the mythical island of Avalon…
From the seaside in the village of Påskallavik,
the Blå Jungfrun is even more visible.
